MSW, RSW, Personal Growth Counsellor
I’m an elder millennial with a hyperfixation on mental health and personal growth.
This led to my BSW, and an MSW degrees and varied social work experiences working in the field, teaching, and providing counselling services.
I’ve had my hands in it all and what I enjoy most is supporting people who are seeking growth in some way. I have found nothing more fulfilling than work that allows me to help someone arrive at a moment of clarity, overcome challenges, expand, or find their peace.
Through my private practice, I provide counselling to adults using an approach that blends therapy, supportive counselling, reflection, and practical grounding so insight can turn into everyday shifts.
My services are provided exclusively via internet and phone and are available for clients across Ontario.

What is counselling for personal growth?
It’s a journey of many things, and it’s as unique as each individual.
In a nutshell, it’s guidance and support in growing mentally, emotionally, spiritually, or whichever way is relevant to you.
Many clients aren’t quite sure what they want to discuss or work on when we first start out, and that’s okay.
Whether you have a specific topic you want to work on, or a general desire to explore, we will start where you are and grow from there.
Increased self-awareness: Gain a deeper understanding of your emotions, values, and behaviors to foster a more authentic sense of self.
Improved emotional regulation: Learn to manage emotions more effectively and build greater resilience to face life’s challenges.
Stronger relationships: Improve communication skills and understand relationship patterns to build healthier connections with others.
Behavioural change: Identify and overcome self-sabotaging habits and behaviours to encourage positive changes.
Confidential space: Counselling offers a safe, non-judgmental environment to explore your thoughts and feelings with a trained professional.
Personalized approach: Various techniques are used, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) or mindfulness practices, tailored to your specific needs.
Tools and strategies: You will be given practical tools and strategies to apply in your daily life to support personal journey.
Accountability: Regular sessions provide a structured way to track progress, make adjustments, and stay accountable to your personal growth goals.
“I’ve worked with lots of counsellors before, all different kinds, and I’ve had the most growth with you.”
“You don’t just ask me how I feel about that, you give me actual suggestions of things I can use.”
“Working with you is just like, constant growth and looking at things differently.”
You don’t have to be in crisis in order to benefit from counselling; and you don’t need a diagnosis to want growth.
Ongoing support is good for everyone!
Life is complex and even when we have supportive friends, family, and colleagues, having the objective perspective of a counsellor can add a helpful layer to things.
Counselling provides a space that’s completely yours, a space outside your usual circle, one where you don’t have to perform, or give, or care about how what you say lands, or about doing anything for anyone except you.
If the sound of this intrigues or excites you, you should probably book with me.
I think you’ll enjoy it.
If the idea of doing something to invest in yourself scares you or makes you feel guilty, you should definitely book with me.
If you are both excited and scared, you should absolutely, definitely book with me. 🙂
